President Mahama Congratulates Ivorian President

President John Dramani Mahama has sent a congratulatory message to President Allasane Dramane Ouattara of Cote D’Ivoire on his re-election to power.

“I congratulate President Ouattara on his resounding and emphatic victory. The sovereign people of La Cote D’Ivoire have voted for continuity,” President Mahama said.

A statement from the office of the President’s Communication Bureau and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra said: “The strong bond of solidarity and economic cooperation we continue to enjoy as …neighbouring countries is linked to the peace and stability of the sub-region.

“My congratulations also go to the people of Cote D’Ivoire for a successful election. I will continue to work closely with President Ouatarra.”
