Ghana To Host Major Medical Conference

Leading medical experts, doctors and physician assistants from Ghana and the United States of America are expected in the country from September 25 to 27 for a medical conference that is aimed at providing cutting-edge updates on diagnosis, management and prevention strategies for various medical conditions.

To be hosted by the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons (GCPS) in partnership with North America’s Ghana Physicians and Surgeons Foundation (GPSF), the conference, Annual Medical Knowledge Fiesta (MKF), would focus on the challenge of antimicrobial resistance and the crucial role of healthcare workers in safeguarding medicines.

Antimicrobial resistance is a growing global health threat and healthcare workers are on the frontline of the battle.

A statement issued by the GCPS said the MKF offered a unique opportunity to discuss innovative approaches to combat this challenge and improve patient outcomes.

It said MKF is a premier medical conference that would bring together leading experts from Ghana and the United States for intensive knowledge sharing and networking.

The statement said the conference would feature a diverse range of workshops, presentations and panel discussions that would be led by renowned experts in the field.

Participants are also to learn about the latest research findings, clinical practices and emerging technologies related to antimicrobial resistance.
