Israeli Ambassador to Ghana Sharon Bar-li has paid a working visit to Tamale to inspect ongoing educational projects being undertaken by MASHAV, Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation.

She met with the Metropolitan Chief Executive of Tamale, Hanan Abdul-Rahman Gundadow and visited four kindergarten schools participating in the Early Childhood Development (ECD) programme under MASHAV.

The ECD programme is a collaborative effort between Israel’s Development Agency, the Ghana Education Service and the metropolitan assemblies of Tamale, Accra and Kumasi.

Thirty kindergarten teachers and head teachers have so far been trained under the programme, which has been held in Accra, Kumasi and Tamale.

The Israeli Ambassador visited the Queen Elizabeth, Lamashegu, Saint Peter’s and Danin-Sheli kindergarten schools, which are the model schools under the project in the Northern Region.
