President John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday held a closed-door meeting with two neighbouring heads of state at the Peduase lodge, in the Eastern Region.

The Presidents; Faure Gnassingbe of Togo and Dr Thomas Yayi Boni of Togo who arrived in Ghana on Wednesday morning have since returned to their various countries.

Briefing the media after the closed-door meeting, President Mahama said the meeting centred on a common flight information region within the three countries.

He said although it was established in 1945, it had not been effective enough to cater for the aviation demands of the three countries and the meeting was therefore to fashion out measures to invigorate it.

President Mahama said Ministers of Transport and other relevant stakeholders of the three countries would be meeting next Tuesday, after which the outcome would be endorsed by the heads of state to commence work.
