British-Airways-Celebrate-77-yearsTraditional Ghanaian dishes would now be part of British Airways menu on the Accra-London route.

“We have just launched a new on-board menu from Accra to London, following feedback from our Ghanaian passengers,” said Mr. Kelvin Leung, British Airways Commercial Manager for Ghana, during a press briefing in Accra.

Mr. Leung described Ghana as a country that had managed to hold on to its traditions, “making it strong in culinary heritage.”

He said the British Airways design chef worked closely with the airline’s local catering partner, in order to develop an understanding of traditional Ghanaian food, and the way it was cooked.

“With the new menu, customers would now be able to choose from a range of local Ghanaian, as well as western dishes,” he said.

Mr. Leung noted that Ghana continued to remain a strategic partner for British Airways, adding, “the partnership had been good so far. Judging from the present situation, there is great promise of improved relations in future.”
