The President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, is set to visit Ghana from November 3 to 4, 2025, as part of a three-nation Africa tour that also includes Egypt and Angola.

During his visit to Ghana, President Steinmeier will hold discussions with representatives of civil society and start-up founders to explore avenues for strengthening cooperation in innovation and development.

On November 4, he will meet the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in Kumasi, where he is expected to learn about ongoing German-Ghanaian collaborations in vaccine research and vocational training.

This marks President Steinmeier’s second visit to Ghana, following his first trip in December 2017.

Before arriving in Ghana, the German leader will attend the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo from November 1–2 at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The museum, one of the largest archaeological sites in the world, will showcase over 100,000 artefacts, including the complete collection from Tutankhamun’s tomb.
