Ghanaian Policewoman Honoured For Outstanding Service in UN Peacekeeping Mission

The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) has awarded an officer of the Ghana Police Service, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Alison Raji Atuluk, for her exceptional service. 

‎ASP Atuluk received a Certificate of Recognition from the United Nations for her outstanding performance and commitment to peace and security in the CAR.

She made history as the first female officer to command a UN parade in CAR, showcasing her exceptional leadership skills and dedication to duty.

‎A statement issued by the Ghana Police Service said during the ceremonial parade, ASP Atuluk flawlessly commanded and demonstrated discipline, precision, and leadership, earning praise from UN authorities and the Inspector-General of Police of the Central African Republic.

‎”Beyond her impressive leadership, ASP Atuluk is committed to mentoring and empowering others.

She continues to work with colleagues to mentor CAR’s policewomen, share her expertise, and build the capacity of local law enforcement.

Her efforts are contributing significantly to promoting peace and stability in the region,” the statement said. 

According to the statement, ASP Atuluk’s achievement was  a testament to the Ghana Police Service’s commitment to international peacekeeping and the vital role Ghanaian women play in promoting global security. 

‎”Her dedication to service is an inspiration to her colleagues and a shining example of Ghana’s contribution to global peace and security efforts.” the statement added 

‎The Ghana Police Service congratulated ASP Atuluk on the  recognition and commended her for her outstanding service.
