The Italian Ambassador, Laura Ranalli, has described the Volta Regional capital, Ho, as an exceptionally clean municipality with a healthy ambience and well-preserved natural settings.
“Ho is, indeed, beautiful,” she added.
The envoy said this last week Friday when she paid a courtesy visit on the Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, in his office before the climax of the Te Za (yam festival) celebrations of the people of Asogli.
The visit was to explore potential areas of collaboration in agriculture, digital skills development, and tourism.
“These are key sectors that hold bright and enormous prospects for the region’s growth,” the regional minister said.
He gave an assurance that the regional coordinating council was ready to enter partnerships with investors, not only for business, but also to strengthen sister-city relationships, promote social integration, and deepen cultural exchanges between the Volta Region and Italy.
“This engagement marks another important step in building international cooperation for the Volta Region,” Mr Gunu said.
Collaboration
He expressed confidence that the collaboration would open up opportunities for the youth and communities in the region.
The regional minister affirmed that as part of efforts to woo investors, the regional coordinating council would always maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the municipality as a hallmark.
Later in the day, the Italian Ambassador, her husband, Piotr Kepinski, and other members of the diplomatic corps attended the annual Asogli State Dinner, as part of activities marking the Te Za celebration.
The couple also attended the grand Te Za durbar at the Ho Jubilee Park last Saturday.
