The Korea Ambassador to Ghana, Mr Kim Sungsoo, has said that the government of Korea is assisting Ghana to develop policies that will help it to achieve the ‘Ghana Beyond Aid’ agenda.
“We are supporting the Ghana government to develop policies to achieve the ‘Ghana Beyond Aid’ vision.
We are also sharing knowledge on how Korea moved from donor-recipient nation to an independent economy state,” he said.
Mr Sungsoo was speaking at the Korea Hansik Food Contest last Saturday in Accra. The contest was part of activities of the Korea Festival Week.
He said the Korean government had adopted technical support as an important area of support it could give President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to enable him to achieve his vision of attaining macro-economic stability and economic growth for Ghana.

The Korea Ambassador lauded President Akufo-Addo for his vision of a ‘Ghana Beyond Aid’ and described it as a bold step in the right direction.
He encouraged the Ghanaian populace to come on board and help the President to achieve the stated vision.
He was of the view that the pace of work to achieve the agenda would be quickened when the business community and the Trade Unions especially also adopted the vision as their own.
He said Korea adopted the same perception which saw their economy striving to become one of the best in the world.
Aside from assisting Ghana with its vision, Mr sungsoo said the government of Korea, through its agencies and the embassy, was also supporting Ghana to develop policies and skills in the agriculture, health and education sectors of its economy.
