Lufthansa Treats Agents To The 'Lufthansa Experience'

lufthansa-AirlineLufthansa Agents in Ghana have been given the opportunity to experience the airline’s products and services in a recent trip to the airline’s headquarters in Germany.

“The four day trip at the end of September was intended to thank the agents for their excellent Lufthansa support whilst also show-casing our products and services to them,” said Mr. Kevin Markette, Lufthansa General Manager-Ghana.

The agents visited the Lufthansa Head office in Frankfurt, where they were given a tour of the facility and briefed on the airline’s First Class and Private Jet offering.

They also toured the Lufthansa Flight Training facility used in the training of all Lufthansa cockpits and cabin crew and also serves as a training facility for a number of other airlines from all over the world.

Mr Markette said the agents, numbering about five, were given a tour of the Lufthansa Technik maintenance facility where they experienced first-hand, the Boeing 747-8i and the Airbus A340-600, as well as the five-star-rated First Class cabin, the new full flat Business class seats and the new Economy Class.

“They were also given a sneak preview of the brand new Lufthansa Premium Economy Class, which is being rolled out to Lufthansa’s entire long haul fleet, with the first aircraft already flying on routes to the United States.

Today we see the new full flat Business class seats on some flights to Accra and by summer 2015, all flights to and from Accra will feature both the new Business Class and the brand new Premium Economy Class” he stated.

The new Premium Economy class, which was unveiled in Berlin in March this year, provides well over 50 per cent more space and comfort than Economy Class, features an upgraded meal service with real china and a dedicated amenity kit with water bottles at each seat, amongst others.

This differentiates it from traditional “Economy Plus” seats on other carriers, which generally provide more leg-room only whilst maintaining Economy Class service.

After two days in Frankfurt, the team travelled to Munich, where they were treated to a day at the world famous Munich Oktoberfest; the world’s largest funfair held annually in Munich and attracting over six million visitors each year, adding a touch of fun to the agenda.
