Police Announce Road Closure For ECOWAS Summit

ecowas_logoThe Police Service will close some roads in Accra to allow for the smooth running of the ECOWAS Summit scheduled to take place Tuesday, May 19, 2015.

A statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Superintendent Cephas Arthur said the Liberation Road from Accra towards Tetteh Quashie Interchange would be partitioned into two with traffic from Accra using the outer lane and the dignitaries using the inner lane, from 6am to 2pm.

After 2pm the arrangement will shift to the other lane from Opeibea House to AU Circle, with motorists plying the outer lane and dignitaries using the inner lane, the statement said.

It further noted that Traffic Police would be deployed at vantage points to assist road users and urged the public to corporate with the police to ensure the success of the event.
