Trade Minister Leads Ghana’s Push For Investment at World Expo 2025

Ghana will take centre stage at the Osaka World Expo 2025 in Japan this week, with the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, leading the country’s delegation.

The Minister, representing President John Dramani Mahama, is expected to deliver the keynote address at the “Ghana Day Event” on Thursday, September 11. 

She will also host a business forum and participate in a series of bilateral meetings aimed at strengthening international partnerships.

The Ghana Pavilion will highlight the nation’s diverse economic opportunities while celebrating its cultural heritage. 

Visitors will be treated to an exhibition of traditional hospitality alongside investment prospects in key sectors including trade, agribusiness, digital technology and industry.

Mrs Ofosu-Adjare is joined by the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George, as well as the Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Sampson Ahi, who also serves as Ghana’s Commissioner General for the Expo. Senior officials from various state agencies are also part of the delegation.

The Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry has described Ghana’s participation as a strategic step to attract foreign investment and deepen global partnerships at one of the world’s largest platforms for economic diplomacy and innovation.
