Two Ghanaian Entrepreneurs Seal Partnership With British Brand, Austin Reed

MogoogiTwo Ghanaian entrepreneurs, Kwame Acheampong and Elkin Pianim, through their online platform Mogoogi, have sealed a deal with premium British brand Austin Reed.

The British international fashion company, which was looking to expanding into Ghana and Africa, were impressed with the work of Mogoogi and therefore choose them to achieve their goals.

The two entrepreneurs, who experienced first-hand the difficulties of getting quality and value when shopping in Africa, have over time managed to grow their business successfully and are now expanding their business in Nigeria and hopes to later expand to other parts of Africa.

By adopting the popular ‘click & collect’ model, Mogoogi makes it possible for consumers to buy online and collect their purchases from select locations in Accra and Lagos, Nigeria.

Austin Reed, a quintessential British brand epitomising luxury and British tailoring, recognises the rise of the African consumer and has teamed up with Mogoogi to ensure that African shoppers can now have a secure and convenient online experience.

Julie Slaymaker, Austin Reed’s Group Ecommerce Director, said in a statement that, “The Austin Reed brand is recognised for quality tailoring and design innovation that merges modern and classic styling.”

“Our casual and formal wear is aimed at successful men and women with the mind-set of a ‘thirty-something’ and we are keen to capture that audience in Ghana and across Africa.”

Mogoogi.com provides the ideal vehicle for delivering a great online experience to our customers in sub-Saharan Africa.”
