Two Law Students Benefit From Internship In Milan

Ghanaian-student-University-MilanThe Faculty of Law, University of Milan is to offer a six-month internship opportunity to two Ghanaian best female law students in experienced law firms in Italy.

The students would be provided with an all-expense trip to Italy to enrich and broaden their perspectives on international law.

They would receive an all-expense trip of 5,000 to 6,000 Euros each to Italy.

Professor Boschiero said this when she led a three-member delegation to pay a courtesy call on the Chief Justice, Mrs Justice Georgina Wood in Accra on Monday.

She said the meeting was to establish a fruitful cooperation between the Faculty and the Judicial Service in the area of justice and gender issues for mutual benefit and development.

Prof Nerina Boschiero said the intended purpose of the internship is also to promote gender equality.

She said the Faculty is preparing an agreement with the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration to start cooperation on an academic exchange programme.

Prof Boschiero said the exchange programme would lead to collaboration in the areas of research activities, which would include common interest topics like LLM in sustainable development.

“Students, who graduate in Milan, will be empowered to work in anywhere their skills are needed,” she said.

Prof Boschiero expressed the hope that the Chief Justice together with the judicial staff would collaborate effectively to the success of the project.

Mrs Wood assured the delegation of the readiness of judiciary to support the project and also see areas of cooperation between the two countries.

The delegations were briefed on the country’s Commercial Court system.
