Beko Home Appliances Opens Showroom In Accra

Forewin Ghana Limited, a distribution and marketing company, in partnership with Beko and uniBank, has opened its first showroom dubbed: “Beko appliance,” in Accra to provide a one-stop shop for home appliances.

Mr. Serkan Biber, Beko West Africa Regional Manager, said Beko is subsidiary of Arcelik group with 59 years of experience in the home of appliances industry.

Mr. Biber said Arcelik group is the leader in Turkey with white goods, consumer electronics and air conditioning sector with a market share of 50 per cent in Turkey.

He said the Arcelik group belongs to the largest conglomerate in Turkey, the Koc group, which has leading positions in energy, automotive, consumer durables, finance, retailing, tourism and IT industries.

Mr. Biber said Beko is active in more than 100 countries and has become a choice of more than 440 million people recognised as quality, high technology and smart solutions with their 14 production plants in Turkey, Romania, Russia and South Africa.

He said the showroom would provide innovative home appliance products, ultimate shopping environment and experience, after sale services and competitive prices to its customers.

Products on display at the showroom include air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, television sets, microwaves, irons and gas cookers.

Mr. Ghassan Yared, Chief Executive Officer of Forewin Ghana Limited, said the company was founded in 1993 and had chosen to operate in Ghana because of its warm and welcoming people, government open policies, political stability and strong standing and position in West Africa.

He said for the past 21 years, Forewin Ghana have been investing in country in different areas and have greatly contributed towards the economy and the country’s development.

“We are committed to partner with Beko and uniBank to bring to the Ghanaian consumer the best in home appliances and consumer electronics and make it affordable for consumers to enjoy owning Beko as the best brand,” he added.

He urged government to continue to provide a comfortable and open environment to enable companies and enterprises develop the most valuable engines that would boost the economy through agriculture, industry and tourism.

Mr. Felix Nyarko-pong, Chief Executive Officer of uniBank said his outfit is committed to deliver excellent service, hence the need for the partnership to provide opportunities for customers.

He said as partners, uniBank is offering consumer credit scheme that allows customers to access Beko products on credit terms to be repaid over 12 month with no interest and no hidden cost to the purchasing market.
