Korean Foreign Minister To Pay A Two-Day Working Visit To Ghana

Madam Kong Kyungwho, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Korea is expected to visit Ghana from July 12 to 13.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Monday said while in Ghana, she would pay a courtesy call on Vice President Dr

Mahamudu Bawumia.

It said Madam Kyungwho would also hold bilateral discussions with Madam Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.

“This is the second time a Foreign Minister of Korea is visiting Ghana,” it said.

“First to visit was Mr Ban Ki-moon, the then Foreign Minister and a former United Nations Secretary General in 2006.”

It noted that Ghana and Korea have had long standing good relations and that they hope this visit would further enhance the cordial relations between the two countries.
