The 2003 year group graduates of Adisadel College will as part of activities for the school’s 104th Speech and Prize Giving Day on Saturday, March 8, 2014 present an award to the school for the great and unparalleled impact of the college in their promising lives.
The group who entered the college thirteen years ago in 2001 and left the shores of the college eleven years ago in 2003 currently boast of professionals from various fields including education, medicine, oil and gas, banking and insurance, law, engineering, security service and mining with a lot more currently going through their post graduate education.
For the group, the training and education from Adisadel College which they describe as second to none has been their pivot in life after school. Adisadel College makes them stand tall wherever they find themselves. The school has prompted them to play hard, work hard and pray hard for higher heights to either be the first or with the first. This to a very large extent is the sole factor for their promising success in the various fields they find themselves.
In light of this, the group has collectively agreed to give back to the college every year till it’s their turn to host the Speech and Prize Giving Day in 2028. Last year, the group riding on the theme “Time Management, an Essential Tool for Success” presented thirty (30) Santa 03 branded wall clocks to the school worth GHC 3000 to be placed at vantage points at the college. This is to aid students of the college to effectively manage their time in their daily activities as such a tenet, will continue to play a major role in their lives after school.
This year, the 2003 graduates of the college has agreed on acknowledging the teaching and non teaching staff as well as the college as an institution by presenting an award to the college. The award, which will be the first of its kind presented to the college by any year group, will be in the form of a citation acknowledging the hard work and devotion of the teaching and non teaching staff, management, PTA and board of the school as well the key principles that the school stands for, among others.
In a brief interview with Mr. Samuel Ekow Hagan, President of the group, on the presentation to the school this year, seized the opportunity to call on all 2003 graduates of the college who have not yet registered with the Group’s Secretariat to do so. He also called on other young year groups to consider giving back to the college now and not to wait till they are old before considering such a thought. This he believes will positively add up to the growth of the school in impacting on many more lives in Ghana, the sub region and the world as a whole.
In addition to awarding the school, the group will also present a citation to the outgoing headmaster of the school, Dr H K K Graham in acknowledgement of his immense contribution and services towards the development and improvement of the college and its students morally and academically.
All roads thus lead to Adisadel College, Cape Coast, on March 8, for the celebration of the college’s 104th Anniversary. The 2003 year group will arrive on the college premise on Friday March 7, to interact with students and also to add up final touches for their presentation on Saturday March 8 during the Speech and Prize Giving Day .
