UNOPS Regional Director For Africa To Visit Ghana And Launch E-Library Initiative

Ms. Dalila Gonçalves – UNOPS Regional Director for Africa

The UNOPS Regional Director for Africa, Ms. Dalila Gonçalves, is set to embark on a two-day official visit to Ghana from June 27-28, 2024. During her visit, Ms. Gonçalves will engage in strategic discussions with key partners, including Government Ministries and agencies in Ghana, the UN family, and development partners in the country.

UNOPS, an implementing agency of the United Nations, remains committed to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through services such as infrastructure, procurement, and project management. This high-level visit aims to explore how UNOPS can further assist the Government of Ghana in reaching its national development priorities by enhancing the capacity of government institutions.

A highlight of the visit will be the official handover of an e-library to the Ghana National Aids Control Programme on June 28. This e-library is designed to serve as a central repository for HIV/AIDS-related resources, facilitating knowledge sharing and improving program effectiveness.
