2nd Israeli Film Festival To Be Held In Accra

Ghana-IsraelThe 2nd Israeli Film Festival is scheduled to be held at the Silverbird Cinema, Accra mall, on the 5th and 6th of December 2014.

A News Release issued by the Israeli Embassy in Accra, yesterday, said the Film Festival would be opened with a closed Gala screening of the award-winning film, The Dove Flyer, on the 4th of December.

The Release said on Friday, December 5 at 19:00 pm, the movie, A Matter of Size, would be shown, while on Saturday, December 6, at 16:30 pm, Bonjour Monsieur Shlomi will be shown, to be followed at 18:30 pm  and 20:30pm by The Debt and  Walk on Water, respectively.

A Matter of Size is an hilarious and heart-warming tale about a coming out of a different kind: four overweight guys who learn to love themselves through the Japanese sport of sumo wrestling, while Walk on Water is a drama about a Mossad agent with a license to kill.
For its part, Bonjour Monsieur Shlomi is a drama about a teenager from an underprivileged family, considered to be a failure until he shines with a unique gift, with the Debt being a thriller about Mossad team, Nazi criminal, a secret and a threatening truth.

According to the Release, the Film Festival is expected to give Ghanaians the opportunity to meet and interact with Israelis while having fun.

The Release said after a successful debut of the 1st Israeli Film Festival last year, the Festival was returning for the second time, this year, with new and fascinating films, all opened to the general public and screened free of charge.
