US Embassy Pledges to Address Delays in Expedited Student Visa Appointments

The United States Embassy in Ghana has reaffirmed its commitment to resolving delays affecting Ghanaian students seeking expedited student visa appointments.

Recent weeks have seen growing frustration among applicants, with many concerned about missing academic deadlines and jeopardizing their educational opportunities due to prolonged processing times.

Speaking on Accra-based Citi FM on Thursday, December 19, Visa Chief at the US Embassy in Accra, Stacy Comp, acknowledged the challenges and assured listeners that the embassy is actively working to address the issue.

“I can assure you that I am going to take this issue back and go into the system to see what is going on.

“I will contact our third-party contractor to identify the problem and request a list of students currently in the expedited student visa appointment queue to see if we can accommodate their requests,” she said.
