Ambassador Hosts First U.S. Beef Promotion Event

The United States Ambassador to Ghana, Gene A. Cretz, has hosted a cross section of politicians, business people, and diplomats at the first ever promotional dinner in Accra for U.S. beef.

The venue for the event was the Urban Grill Restaurant located at the Airport City, according to a release signed by Zainab Mahama, Information Officer at the US Embassy in Accra, and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA)

In his remarks Ambassador Cretz said, “We thank Governor Pete Ricketts of Nebraska for his support of this event, and recognize the Nebraska Beef Council and Greater Omaha for providing the star ingredient.

“The United States is strongly committed to delivering high quality, safe, healthy food products to consumers all around the world, and U.S. beef is one of our super stars.”

The envoy further proclaimed that sharing cultural diversity remained one of the bonds which formed the close friendship between Ghana and the United States.

U.S. beef is a high-quality product that is readily available for the restaurant scene in Ghana and neighbouring West Africa countries.
