China Poly Group Inaugurates Housing Units

china-development-groupChinese development giant; China Poly Group, has joined the wave of the growing interest in the Ghanaian real estate sector with the opening of its first housing units in Accra.

The office and residential mansion, showcasing mixed Ghanaian and Chinese design is the first venture for the Group in the country’s real estate sector in the 10 years of its operation in the country.

The Chinese Ambassador, Ms Sun Baohong said the completion of the project is a demonstration of the mutual cooperation between the two countries.

She said China would continue to play a pivotal role in the economic and social development of the country in the areas of investment, infrastructure and manufacturing, especially through the public private partnership mode.

Ms Sun said despite the current difficult economic conditions, China remains optimistic about Ghana’s future growth prospects.

Ghana-China cooperation on economy and trade has increased significantly with the bilateral trading volume registering $5.43 billion, as at the end of 2012.

The Ambassador said China would deepen efforts to ensure an increasing trend of Ghanaian exports products in the Chinese market.

She said although there has been great increase of Ghanaian exports into China, the products are  still primary and called on Ghana to develop her manufacturing capacity to produce commercially competitive goods.

Alhaji Rashid Pelpuo, Minister of State in Charge of Private Sector, said the opening of the mansion is an example of confidence in the Ghana.

He said Ghana offers transparency, freedom and rule of law and urged investors not to entertain any fears as their investments would be protected at all times.

Mr Jin Li, Chief Representative China Poly Group Ghana Office, said it has been 10 years of mutual trust and support for their operations in Ghana.

“The mutual relationship has been tremendous and we hope that this will continue into the future,” he said.
