Gabonese President to begin three-day state visit to Ghana

Gabonese President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema will pay a three-day state visit to Ghana from July 28 to July 30 at the invitation of President John Dramani Mahama.

A statement issued by Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, said President Nguema would be accompanied by a high-level delegation made up of government ministers, senior officials and members of the Gabonese business community.

The statement described the visit as another important milestone in the growing bilateral relations between Ghana and Gabon.

It said the two Heads of State would hold a tête-à-tête meeting, followed by official bilateral talks at the Jubilee House in Accra on July 28.

According to the statement, the leaders would review the current state of relations between the two countries and explore new areas of cooperation beyond existing engagements in political and diplomatic consultations.
