International Labour Organisation To Launch 2015 Employment And Social Outlook Report

ILO-LogoThe International Labour Organisation (ILO) is to launch its report, “World Employment and Social Outlook – Trends 2015,” on Tuesday, January 20.

A statement issued by the Organisation said this year’s edition includes a forecast of global unemployment levels and explains the factors behind the trend, including continuing inequality and falling wage shares.

The report also looks at the drivers of the rising middle class in the developing world as well as the risk of social unrest, especially in areas of elevated youth unemployment.

It further discusses structural factors shaping the world of work, including an aging population and shifts in the skills sought by employers.
