Israeli Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Sharon Bar-li remarks that ‘Israeli agricultural firms can contribute immensely to the “agricultural revolution” of Ghana, under which the agricultural sector can transform from a sustainable agriculture into a profitable business sector, to serve not only Ghana, but the entire West-African neighborhood’.

The Ambassador points that the image that portrays agriculture as a sector of the least achievers has to change, and Israeli agricultural companies are the best proof  of  agriculture being the epitome of technological developments and extensive research’.

Israel is a major exporter of fresh produce and a world-leader in agricultural technologies despite the fact that the geography of Israel is not naturally conducive to agriculture. Only 20 percent of the land area is naturally arable but today Israel’s agriculture represents close to three percent of its total gross.
