Koreans Want a Better Ghanaian Business Environment

ghana_and_korea_flagsMr Yoon Sung Lee, President of Korea Residents Association in Ghana, has appealed to government to put in place pragmatic measures to make the business environment friendlier.

Mr Lee, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, on Monday, said Ghanaians and expatriates alike are struggling with electricity problems, security issues, poor roads, among others.

He said even though, government is trying to solve the problems, “government must do something better on these issues in 2015”.

He however pleaded with Ghanaians not to only to complain but also help with deeds and ideas to solve some of the problems.

Mr Lee who has resided in Ghana for more than 25 years also urged Ghanaians not to solely depend on government for the development of their areas as according to him some developmental projects could be done through self-help means.

He stated for instance that if every resident would fill some potholes on streets in their neighbourhood, the roads leading to their houses would be more motorable.

He appealed to all expatriates in Ghana, to contribute their quota towards the development of the country.

Mr Lee indicated being expatriates does not give them the right to reside in the country without helping to develop it.

He indicated that even though Ghana is developing at a slower pace, the country is peaceful compared to other African countries, making it comparatively conducive for expatriates to do business.
