Liranz welcomes Oxford University Researcher

Information Technology outsourcing giants, Liranz Limited, last week hosted Dr. Mohammad Amir Anwar, a researcher from Oxford University, in a grand meeting for a number of discussions including IT related research and other opportunities to be explored between the two parties.

The meeting created the opportunity to also finalize arrangements for an Information Technology (IT) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) research by Dr. Amir Anwar, in which Mr. Nicholas Bortey, CEO of Liranz Limited is to play a key role, as the leader of one of Ghana’s biggest IT outsourcing firms.

In their interaction, Mr. Bortey mentioned that companies are able to focus on their core line of business, if their IT departments are outsourced and managed by an IT firm. He continued that outsourcing is financially flexible and reduces operational cost in that, cost associated with hiring an employee; management oversight; training; health insurance; employment taxes; retirement plans and others are all eliminated.

Mr. Bortey added that IT outsourcing further reduces a company’s risk of implementing a wrong and costly decision and also helps companies benefit from a collective experience of a team of IT professionals.

 

He called on businesses to develop protocols, procedures and training that will help equip business heads to have an insight into the benefits of outsourcing the IT component and departments of businesses.

Mr. Bortey concluded by emphasizing on the critical need for companies to embrace outsourcing IT related issues and departments in the management of a company. He mentioned that, “this is surely the way to go and companies are gradually embracing this truth, with others taking the lead to outsource their IT departments”.
