Moroccan King arrives in Ghana for three-day visit

The Moroccan Monarch, King Mohammed VI arrived in Ghana on Thursday for a three-day official visit aimed at deepening relations between Ghana and the Kingdom of Morocco.

His visit is expected to present Ghana and Morocco with opportunities to define new areas of co-operation for mutual interest.

He was met on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport by Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and Foreign Affairs Minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will on Friday, February 17, hold bilateral talks with King Mohammed VI, after which Ghana and Morocco would sign a Memorandum of Understanding.

The President will then host King Mohammed VI to an official lunch at the Flagstaff House.

King Mohammed will depart for Morocco on Saturday, February 18.
