Mr. Tony Blair Calls On Global Investors To Invest In Ghana

Mr. Tony Blair, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, appealed to global investors to invest in Ghana. He asserted that people globally believe and have the conviction that Ghana is on the path of growth. This he inferred from interacting with people around the world.

Mr. Tony Blair made the statement as a guest speaker at Ghana’s investment promotion dinner held along the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland last Wednesday, 22nd January 2020.

Mr. Blair also expressed his support for Ghana Beyond Aid and the ‘Year of Return’ which attracted about 750,000 people especially Ghanaians in the Diaspora. He also acknowledged the significant changes taking place in Ghana leading to the country becoming one of the fastest-growing economies in Africa and the world.

Ms. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration reassured investors of government protection and access to African markets with over 1.2 billion people.

International business experts, investors, and celebrities attended the dinner led by President Akufo-Addo.
