The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has assured the public that the National Signals Bureau (NSB) is assisting in restoring the passport application website, which is temporarily unavailable due to technical issues.
In a statement, the Ministry informed customers experiencing difficulties accessing the passport application website, passport.mfa.gov.gh, that its technical team is working with the NSB to resolve the problem.
Although the Ministry did not indicate when the website would be fully restored, it said the multi-institutional technical support team is working to restore access as quickly as possible and ensure the platform resumes normal operations.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform its valued customers, particularly those who may be experiencing challenges accessing our website for passport applications, passport.mfa.gov.gh, that it is currently experiencing technical issues and is therefore temporarily down.
“Our technical team is feverishly working with the National Signals Bureau to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.”
The Ministry apologised for the inconvenience caused and assured applicants that an update would be issued once the platform is restored.
“We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this issue has caused. The Ministry will provide an update once the problem is resolved.”
Applicants have therefore been advised to await further communication from the Ministry while efforts continue to restore the passport application service.
