President Akufo-Addo Extends Closure Of Ghana’s Borders

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has extended the closure of all Ghanaian borders for another two-weeks.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo directed the closure of all borders in Ghana — land, sea and air — to human traffic for the next two weeks, with effect from midnight Sunday, March 22, 2020.

The closure, however, did not affect goods, supplies and cargo.

The Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah in a Tweet on Saturday, April 4, 2020, said “President Akufo-Addo has by a new executive instrument, EI 66, extended the closure of Ghana’s borders by another two weeks effective midnight tomorrow April 5.”
