US Embassy Supports 2019 GJA Awards

The United States Embassy in Ghana has supported the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) with GH₵50,000 towards the organisation of the 2019 GJA awards.

A cheque for the amount was presented to the GJA national executives on Thursday in Accra.

The US Embassy Press Attaché, Naomi Mattos handed over the cheque to the GJA President, Mr Roland Affail Monney.

She said along with the GJA, the United States of America government was committed to ensuring that democracy thrives in Ghana because the media informs the citizenry.

The President of the GJA, Mr Roland Affail Monney, said the US Embassy has been one of the greatest supporters of the GJA as far as media development.
