Volta Regional Minister Hosts Italian Ambassador, Explores Partnerships in Development 

The Volta Regional Minister, Mr. James Gunu, has received Her Excellency Laura Ranalli, the Italian Ambassador to Ghana, and her delegation at the Volta Regional Coordinating Council in Ho to discuss potential areas of cooperation. 

The meeting centered on partnerships in agriculture, digital skills development, and tourism-sectors the Minister described as critical to unlocking the region’s economic potential.

Mr Gunu outlined the Volta Region’s strategic development priorities under President John Dramani Mahama’s vision, assuring the Ambassador of the region’s readiness to welcome investments that would spur growth, strengthen sister-city relations, and foster cultural and social exchanges between Italy and the Volta Region. 

The Italian delegation highlighted Italy’s technical expertise and investment opportunities in youth empowerment, job creation, and sustainable development.

They also expressed interest in exploring collaborations aligned with the government’s 24-hour economy agenda and its potential benefits for the Volta Region. 

Mr Gunu described the visit as a milestone in advancing international cooperation, expressing optimism that the collaboration would open new opportunities for youth, businesses, and communities across the region.
