The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will be the Special Guest of Honour at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Business Summit, taking place in Toronto, Canada, from June 15 to 21.
The event is organised by the Canada Ghana Chamber of Commerce and its partners.
On Wednesday, May 20, the Asantehene received a delegation from Portage Energy Group of Canada at the Manhyia Palace to discuss his upcoming trip to Canada and key projects benefiting the Ashanti Region, particularly Greater Kumasi.
The delegation included Chief Executive Officer, Craig Latimer, Chief Finance Officer, Michael Southam, and Chief Commercial Officer, Stephen Akpakwu.
They expressed the hope of seeing the Asantehene in Canada, where he is scheduled to address approximately 40,000 members of the diaspora at the World Cup Business Summit.
