Ethiopian ambassador advocates peacebuilding and bilateral cooperation at KAIPTC graduation

The Acting Head of Mission at the Embassy of Ethiopia in Ghana, Asaye Alemayehu, has highlighted the importance of peacebuilding, capacity development, and strengthened Ethiopia–Ghana relations during a graduation ceremony for Ethiopian trainees in Accra.

The event, held at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre in Accra, marked the successful completion of a peacekeeping capacity-building programme by the fourth batch of trainees from Ethiopia’s National Rehabilitation Commission.

During the ceremony, the Commandant of KAIPTC, Zibrim Bawah Ayorrogo, commended the trainees for their discipline and dedication throughout the training, expressing confidence in their ability to apply the knowledge and skills acquired in future assignments.

In his remarks, Ambassador Alemayehu expressed appreciation to the Centre for delivering the training, describing it as vital to promoting peace and stability in Ethiopia.

He also highlighted the longstanding strategic relationship between Ethiopia and Ghana, reaffirming the Embassy’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties and deepening collaboration with KAIPTC.

The Ambassador further acknowledged the support of the United Nations Development Programme in facilitating the programme, stressing the importance of partnerships in fostering a peaceful, inclusive, and resilient Ethiopia.

As part of the ceremony, Ambassador Alemayehu presented certificates to the trainees in recognition of their successful completion of the programme.

The graduation reflects continued international cooperation in peacekeeping training and capacity-building, reinforcing shared commitments to regional stability and sustainable peace.
