Coronavirus: Ghana’s Consulate In New York Closes Down

Ghana’s Consulate in New York , USA has temporarily closed down its office due to the outbreak and hspread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

This is in compliance with the declaration of a State of Emergency by President Donald Trump and the State Government which takes effect on Monday, March 16, 2020.

A statement from the Embassy said however that online postal services for visa application, attestation of documents, sale of dual citizenship forms and issuance of letters will be available.

“There will be no submission of application at the counter. All completed application forms should be mailed to The Consulate General, 19 East 47 Street, New York, NY 10017,” the statement said.

It added that biometric passport applications have also been suspended “to minimize the spread of the disease through person-to-person contact.”
