World Trade Centre Accra to visit US

Flag-Pins-Ghana-USAThe World Trade Centre (WTC) Accra will embark on its second trade and investment mission in the United States from July 19 to July 29.

 
The purpose of the mission is to introduce both Ghanaian and American firms to their common markets and prospective partners in the areas of agriculture, health, transportation, education, mining, electrical, textiles, footwear, information technology, oil and gas, energy, real estate, construction and Infrastructure, telecommunication, and auto parts.

 
In an interview with Ghana News Agency at a promotional seminar in Accra, Mr. Emmanuel Doni-Kwame, President of WTC Accra said places to be visited during the mission include the WTC Seattle/Tacoma, WTC Detroit/Windsor, WTC Northern New Jersey and the WTC Headquarters, New York.

 
Mr. Doni-Kwame said the mission is being organised under the auspices of the WTC Accra with support from the US Embassy, and the American Chamber of Commerce, Ghana.

Mr. Paul Taylor, Senior Commercial Officer, US Embassy said the trip would provide opportunity for the exploration of trade opportunities and deepen bilateral ties.

 
Mr. Taylor said US has a wide range of business opportunities across the world and every field of specialisation would be met at the mission.

 
He encouraged Ghanaian business officials to take advantage of the trip and engage US companies to invest at home.

 
Mr. Heward Mills, member of WTC Accra, said the Centre organised a trade trip to Brazil in Sao Paulo in March 29 to April 3, which afforded the entrepreneurs the opportunity to interact with Brazilian counterparts.

 
He said the investment mission was impressive as it provided the participants an opportunity to conclude joint ventures.
